The law firm of Hofheimer Gartlir & Gross, LLP, traces its origins
to 1879 when it was founded in New York City as Morgenthau Lachman & Goldsmith.
Since its founding, the continuity of leadership and accumulation of knowledge
and experience have been of great benefit to our clients. It is with pride
that we provide legal services to the fourth generation of some of our clients.
As our firm has evolved, its character has been shaped by blending
the best aspects of its rich heritage with the needs and realities of today's
complex and fast-paced environment. Throughout our history, we have established
multi-faceted, strong working relationships with clients and provided them
with quality service. Today, as in the past, matters are handled competently
and efficiently. Clients always have ready access to and frequent contact
with our partners.
Our attorneys make a point of thoroughly understanding each client's
business and goals. We satisfy those goals by combining practical and creative
thinking with excellent legal skills.
Because our attorneys' legal experience frequently extends beyond their
primary areas of practice, we are able to recognize and address a wide variety
of legal and business issues. We offer beneficial strategic suggestions to
clients that go beyond the scope of the immediate assignment and anticipate
their future needs. As a result, we can satisfy our clients' needs in the
most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Our attorneys work in a collegial atmosphere conducive to sharing knowledge
and ideas freely. We work in a cooperative manner with clients. In fact,
the bedrock of our practice is the long-standing close, personal bonds that
we have formed with clients.
Throughout its long history, our firm has remained steadfast in its
commitment to providing a broad range of legal services to clients through
top-flight legal talent, uncompromising quality, up-to-date technology, significant
partner involvement and personal and responsive service. These characteristics
have been responsible for the firm's successful history and will remain our
top priority.
