Practice Areas: bankruptcy law/ creditor rights/ debt restructuring/ asset protection Mr. Sachs joined the firm in 2002. He heads up our Insolvency and Creditor's Rights Department. He handles complex bankruptcy and insolvency transactions under the Bankruptcy Code, and specializes in assisting individuals and business entities in reorganizing and restructuring their debts. He represents clients in the purchase and sale of assets from companies in bankruptcy. He practices in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts located in the metropolitan area and throughout the United States. Mr. Sachs assists creditors in their recovery of assets and debts from financially distressed companies and individuals. Over the last twenty years, he has structured numerous asset protection plans and has been involved in various litigations involving actions for preferences, fraudulent conveyances, recharacterization or equitable subordination. Mr. Sachs is a member of the New York County Lawyers Association, Nassau County Bar association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, Commercial Law League of America., and is a past chairman of the Insolvency Committee of the Nassau County Bar association. He has lectured at seminars on Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights for the New York State Bar Association, and the Nassau/Suffolk Bar Associations. He enjoys an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. |
