Practice Areas: litigation | commercial and residential real estate | trust and estate administration Mr. Gartlir joined the firm in 1946. His practice has evolved from litigation and real estate transactions to trust and estate administration in order to serve the changing needs of his long-standing clients. Mr. Gartlir has tried cases in all the New York Courts, including the Surrogate's Courts. He has also argued appeals in the United States Circuit Courts of Appeal and the New York Court of Appeals. His litigation has involved real estate matters including real estate development, leasing, zoning and condemnation. Mr. Gartlir has been engaged in will contests and construction proceedings and contested accounting proceedings. He also represents a major international music publishing company in all phases of its business. Mr. Gartlir practices in Florida as well as New York. He is a member of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York and Florida Bar Association. He enjoys an AV rating from Martindale- Hubbell. Active in local community affairs, Mr. Gartlir has served as President of the Great Neck Board of Education, Chairman of the North Hempstead Community Development Agency, and Chairman of the North Hempstead Ethics Committee. |
